Ketchup is operated by Really Random Studio, LLC (referred to as "we" in this policy).
What Ketchup does
Ketchup summarizes YouTube videos you explicitly choose to summarize ("squeeze") and saves those summaries to your personal library (the Pantry).
Data we collect
Account: your email address and a Google account identifier, provided when you sign in with Google. We do not receive your password or access any other Google data.
Squeezed videos: when you click Get the sauce on a video, its public caption transcript, title, and channel name are sent to our servers to generate a summary. The summary and video metadata are stored so it appears in your Pantry and so repeat requests are served from cache.
Usage counts: daily and monthly counts of summaries generated, used to enforce the free-tier limits.
Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and your plan status โ never card details.
What we don't do
We do not track your browsing or your YouTube watch history. The extension only acts on videos you explicitly click Get the sauce on.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
We do not show ads.
Third-party services
Summaries are generated with Anthropic's Claude API (transcripts are sent for processing; see Anthropic's commercial terms). Payments are processed by Stripe. Infrastructure runs on Cloudflare.
Our website (addketchup.app) uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic โ page views and where visitors come from. The extension itself contains no analytics and sends nothing to Google.
Deletion
Remove any item from your Pantry at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us and we'll remove it.
